These are common symptoms reported by mommies on the blog. And medications they used. This is just a small post I put together so mommies could see what is more likely to be expected. None are qualified medical staff, therefore ALWAYS consult a doctor!!

COMMON COVID SYMPTOMS IN BABIES (REPORTED BY MOMS ON THE BLOG)

  • Fever
  • Runny nose
  • Sleepy (Fatigue)
  • Weak appetite
  • Cough

LESS COMMON SYMPTOMS IN BABIES

  • Swollen glands
  • Runny tummy
  • Sore throat
  • Vomiting

MEDICATIONS USED:

Again, these are medications used by other mommies and it has worked/helped them! Please check all medications with your doctor to make sure it is safe for your babies and age appropriate.

  • Sinuclear – Blocked nose
  • Vicks – For chest
  • Calpol – Pain and fever

AVERAGE TIME FOR RECOVERY REPORTED BY MOMS

  • 6 days

NO MONEY TO DO A COVID TEST?

Clicks and Dischem have Rapid Tests which are not expensive. They go for anything from R150.00.

We have a free testing station in our area, find out if there is not one in your area. It takes longer for you to get the results, but at least you can get your baby or yourself tested.

Government hospitals and clinics also offer free tests.
